Condolence & Memory Journal

Janet was one of my favorites at New England Division/District USACE Logistics both in Waltham / Concord MA. We always had a good laugh in the warehouse / office and she was extremely helpful , cooperative, and pleasant . May God Bless Janet and bring peace and comfort to her family .

Joy and I are shocked and saddened to learn of Janet's sudden passing. We remember her as cheery, vivacious with definite likes and a most solid Christian faith. She will most definitely be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Rodger and Judy, sorry to learn of Janet's untimely passing. She was a cheerful and generous neighbor to the McDonald's as we grew up next to the Brayden's. Many good memories of her helping with our pets, particularly Thumper, and my younger siblings. She is with Our Lord, after a life lived well. Thoughts and prayers for her and each of you this Thanksgiving.

My sincere sympathy on the loss of your sister, Janet. She was always very pleasant, smiling, and helpful the many years I worked with her at the Corps. She spoke with love often of her family and church. May she rest in peace. Delia Vogel, Coworker, Hubbardston, MA

Janet was a hard working dedicated coworker. She was kind, funny and always had a story to tell. She had the biggest heart as is evident by those she loved and the life she led and will be missed by all. My sincere sympathies to her family.

Janet was a long-term loyal Corps employee from way back (Waltham), who valued family and friends. She worked hard and didn't mince words. She was very thoughtful and always sent Christmas cards to her fellow co-workers and many other Corps employees who were not even in Logistics, the office she worked for. I'm very saddened by her early passing though I'm glad she decided to retire when she did so she could at least enjoy 3 years of retirement. She's gone too soon and will be missed. Rest in peace Janet.

Janet was a kind, happy person and always laughing. I am also from Maynard and remember her walking through town with an armful of books on her way to the library. We were also co-workers at the Corps, in both Waltham and Concord. Condolences to the Brayden family. Rest In Peace Janet. Sorry to see you go so young. God Bless you.

So very sorry to hear of Janet's passing. She was a wonderful person and I used to enjoy our often friendly busting each other's chops at the Corps. Loved to kid her and get her all riled up but she knew it was all in fun. What a tremendous loss to all of her family. She was so proud of you and she would often tell me what everyone was up to, complete with pictures, even after she retired. Heartfelt sympathies to all your families. She was quite a character and I'm sure she's chatting it up with everyone in the Great Beyond. I'm very sad to hear she's passed.....too young.... God Bless her and your families. May you find happiness and solace in your memories of Janet, and May She Rest In Peace.

Janet and I were great friends when I worked at the Corps and often went out to lunch and even celebrated our birthdays together since they were close day-wise. Often times I was caught being down in Logistics when I was suppose to be in my own office :). After I left the Corps, we would stay in contact through phone calls, letters and cards. She would send my daughter and I a card for every holiday (even St Patrick's Day) and when my daughter was little, she would get all excited to open the card. I am going to miss her generous, open heart and of course, the cards that always let us know that we were being thought of. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family. She loved you all so much and would often regale me with stories, especially about her niece and nephews. Heaven got a real angel.

Janet and I were 2nd cousins. Both genealogy enthusiasts, she was an invaluable Maynard resource and will be greatly missed. Also enjoyed Red Sox banter; can tell you she was more Christian towards Yankee fans than I'll ever be!

In addition to Janet's many years of volunteering at the Maynard Public Library she also baked for us every Christmas. We were a small staff but Janet made sure there was plenty to go around and my favorite was her peppermint bark, she always made a separate batch for me. Thank you for your great sense of giving back to your community, I know you were sad to leave Maynard. Rest In Peace, Janet ❤
