Jeff, Larry and grandkids: I know you will miss Betty. What a wonderful person! Her wonderful smile, good humor, and compassion added so much to the lives of everyone who knew her. I was so fond of her.
Take care everyone,

I think it was 1954, when my parents moved to Stow, that I first met Betty. She was always so warm and welcoming. In later years, Betty and Carol (?) Zdanowicz used to go to any garden tours in the area - I remember seeing her at several Indian Hill Music tours. In most recent years, we usually only saw each other at celebrations or memorial services - I no longer live in Stow, but I get back as often as possible. I'll miss seeing her smiling face.

Chris Schuch (Driver for the COA)
Driving Betty around was a pleasure. I'll miss her smile and cheerfulness. She did love the wildlife around her home. She always asked if i saw and deer on the way up the drive!

Jeff, Jacob, Sarah, Holly, Louisa. I was so sad to learn of Betty's passing. What a wonderful mother and grandmother she was. She was a woman of incredible resilience; she gave tirelessly of herself to everything she did. I loved watching her working in the garden, and teaching you, Louisa, to put the hair from your hairbrush outside so that the birds could use it to build nests. Despite the losses she had endured, she loved life, music, nature, and she loved you four kids so much. RIP Grammy!

I cut Betty's hair for many years at my little salon in Maynard. She was always one of my favorites! She was always so optimistic even when things in her life seemed impossible. She truly influenced my life.
God bless, Daughn Schiappa
