Condolence & Memory Journal

I am not sure what led me to read obituaries of Stow MA this morning. I grew up in Stow and had some people on my mind. Shocked to see Jim's obituary. At one time Rick rented an apartment where I was the Manager. His apartment was across the hall from my office. Jim was so soft spoken, yet the volume of his voice could rise when having great conversations about politics. I use to put everything on hold when I heard him playing his piano. I remember going down the hall and alerting other tenants that he was playing. We would all gather outside his door and just enjoy the moment! Jim was passionate about books. I think a book arrived everyday in the mail or by UPS. When he moved to Stow, his new home was small. He had to part with books and I am happy to say that I have a few here in my home that were gifted to me. He was an amazing human and now an amazing spirit! Wonderful to have known him!

Sincerest condolences to Jim's family. As fellow Plantation residents my husband Henry and I are sad at Jim's sudden departure. He was a wonderful man. We will miss his smile and gentle kindness here and at the COA. May he Rest In Peace.

I am really going to miss you. I will treasure our political discussions and shared love of classical music. I've known you since high school and you managed to retain that sparkle in your eyes. I've never met a more kinder man than you. Your spirit has been set free from your earthly body and I know you are embarking on a magical journey. Thank you for being my friend.

I knew him as Jim in high school. He wasn't flashy, but he was authentic. And in outliving our high school legacies, and knowing that we change, from Jim's Facebook postings, he seems not to have changed: still honest to his core and kind in his expressions. I wish I had known him better, here later in life. He would have been a spirit I would have enjoyed sharing. My sympathies to the family for a grave loss, Mike

I've always known that my brother Jim was a gentle, creative soul, whose spiritual grounding was centered in his music and the great outdoors. And yes, he was political and loved the challenge of a good chess match. Recently he and I shared many fond memories about days long past, as well as our grief at the loss of our sister, and our parents. I now treasure those discussions with him. I bid you farewell my Irish Twin, and godspeed as your spirit ventures on to new frontiers. I will miss you and your smiling eyes, Jim. All my love, Sissy
